Jesus calls himself Son of Man:
13 Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
Talking of his forthcoming death and resurrection Jesus said:
22 saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.”
When Judas betrayed him, he referred to himself as "Son of Man:
48 But Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”
In the Olivet prophecy, Jesus refers to his scond coming as the son of man coming in the clouds. This is an allusion to similar words in the prophecy of Daniel.
26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
13 “I saw in the night visions, and behold, there came with the clouds of the sky one like a son of man, and he came even to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
