King Hezekiah encourages the Jews to trust in God when threatened by the king of Assyria:
7 “Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or dismayed because of the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude who is with him; for there is a greater one with us than with him. 8 An arm of flesh is with him, but the LORD our God is with us to help us and to fight our battles.” The people rested themselves on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
Many of the Psalms express confidence in God's help:
19 Oh how great is your goodness,
which you have laid up for those who fear you,
which you have worked for those who take refuge in you,

20 Our soul has waited for the LORD.
He is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart rejoices in him,
because we have trusted in his holy name.
22 Let your loving kindness be on us, LORD,
since we have hoped in you.
The book of Proverbs has similar sentiments:
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and don’t lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
The prophet Jeremiah encourages his hearers to trust in God:
7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
and whose confidence is in the LORD.
8 For he will be as a tree planted by the waters,
who spreads out its roots by the river,

and will not be concerned in the year of drought.
It won’t cease from yielding fruit.
The apostle Paul tells Timothy to trust in God rather than riches:
