The Bible in 3 minutes

An outline of the Bible message in just 3 minutes

The Bible: the word of God; what God wants us to know, about His plan for this world and His invitation to men and women. The Bible also gives good and bad examples, that we can learn from, of how people reacted to God's invitation.

One God: the eternal, the Creator, our Father - through Jesus.

The Bible: the word of God; what God wants us to know, about His plan for this world and His invitation to men and women. The Bible also gives good and bad examples, that we can learn from, of how people reacted to God's invitation.

Jesus: the son of God, provided to save us from sin and death.

The Holy spirit: the power of God; bringing about what God wants to do, often in action through the angels of God.

Mankind: condemned and made mortal because of sin, but given the opportunity for new life - through belief and baptism into the Lord Jesus Christ.

Promises of salvation by God: given through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel), David, the king of Israel, and the prophets.

God's promises centred in Jesus Christ: He is the "seed of Abraham" Messiah of Israel, Son of David, Son of God, Lamb of God and promised saviour.

Jesus: his virgin birth, sinless life, sacrifice, death and resurrection to heaven. God has given him all power and authority

Jesus will return: to rule our world and bring peace to all nations.

When Jesus returns: personally, visibly, in full authority and power, he will raise from the dead and judge all thosed who are responsible to him. He  will give eternal life to those who are to live and help him in his kingdom. The world will be transformed to be come full of peace, joy and the glory of God.

The way to resurrection and life: Belief of the Gospel (the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ), repentance and true baptism for the remission of sins. We then begin a new life as "children of God" showing faith and its resulting works. We can pray to God because of what Jesus has done, having fellowship with other Baptised believers who are "in Christ", developing the "fruit of the spirit" until Jesus returns.

In Christ, with our sins forgiven, we are called to serve God by sharing the Good News with other people, and helping them where we can, waiting for the promised worldwide kingdom to come.
