Isaiah later tells the Israelites the consequences of disobeying God:
19 If you are willing and obedient,you will eat the good of the land;20 but if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured with the sword;
for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.”
The apostle Paul spells out the consequences of ignoring God:
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
