A selection of verses showing that Jesus' miracles were evidence that he was God's Son.
Jesus’ twelve disciples believed that Jesus was the Son of God because he stilled the distressing contrary wind on the sea of Galilee:
33 Those who were in the boat came and worshipped him, saying, “You are truly the Son of God!”
Jesus himself said that his miracles were testimony that he was Son of God:
22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 He who hates me, hates my Father also. 24 If I hadn’t done amongst them the works which no one else did, they wouldn’t have had sin. But now they have seen and also hated both me and my Father.
John says he wrote his gospel to show that Jesus was the Christ and also Son of God:
30 Therefore Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.
