A selection of verses showing that God is always right in His judgements:
Moses in the book of Deuteronomy reminds the Jews of God's just and right judgements:
3 For I will proclaim the LORD’s name.
Ascribe greatness to our God!
4 The Rock: his work is perfect,
for all his ways are just.
A God of faithfulness who does no wrong,
just and right is he.
The psalmist echoes the same sentiments:
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways,
and gracious in all his works.
Those who have overcome in the book of Revelation acknowledge that God's judgements are right:
3 They sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,
“Great and marvellous are your works, Lord God, the Almighty!
Righteous and true are your ways, you King of the nations.
4 Who wouldn’t fear you, Lord,
and glorify your name?
For you only are holy.
For all the nations will come and worship before you.
For your righteous acts have been revealed.”
We have the comfort that God will forgive us when we fail to meet His standards if we confess our shortcomings. King David said:
1 Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man to whom the LORD doesn’t impute iniquity,
in whose spirit there is no deceit.
5 I acknowledged my sin to you.
I didn’t hide my iniquity.
I said, I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.
Selah.
